What's
in a training?
Tacpac Trainings
in Sensory Alignment are run
as a full day course. They are
designed to:
- heighten
awareness of your own senses (we have many more than 5)
- teach
how to work effectively with touch
- build
skills and confidence in multi-sensory interaction (touch, sight,
movement and sound)
- develop
your ability to work at a deeper level with Tacpac
- introduce Tacpac
to others in your team
- award
a
Tacpac
CPD
certificate in Sensory Alignment.
Who
are the trainings for?
The trainings are delivered to
teachers, Portage workers, Occupational
Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech Therapists, Health Visitors,
Respite Care workers, Early Years and SENSS workers, primary care
trusts, inclusion teams, hospices, child development centres, play and
communicaton workers, community nursery and learning disability nurses,
and conferences.
Training with the
Team Around The Child / Client is an excellent way to
get everyone involved, as this stimulates a great discussion from the
different professional viewpoints. We have helped many settings develop
a strong, coordinated approach to integrating
Tacpac
into
their multi-disciplinary work.
How
many in a training, and when do they happen?
A training session can have up to
30 people, and the fee includes
a Tacpac of
your choice.
Sessions usually run during the working week, Monday-Friday, we can
also accommodate Saturdays upon request.
Comments
from other workshop participants
"I
have become much more
aware of what tactile feelings the children have and like. For example,
pressure makes a huge difference, and I discovered how rhythm or
working with the beat of the music can be used to stimulate or relax
receivers."
"....Found
the session fun and
informative. Gave me lots of ideas to use in groups with parents and
children. Thank you!"
"I
have more skills than I thought! I've learned that other senses are
just as useful and compensate for those that don't work so well."
How
much does a training cost?
Training
costs are worked out per person with a minimum of 20 participants and a
maximum of 30 participants. Please contact us for costs of trainings as
they differ from a setting to an open training.
